My Honours project, for an exhibition centre for the DeMarco Archive, was centered around working with the urban context of Leith and the contribution such a project could make to the area.

DIA Sketch design competition – Big Brother House

The Dundee Institute of Architects support an annual sketch design competition for students at Dundee School of Architecture.  The brief this year was for a ‘big brother house’.  I was awarded third place.

Design Research Unit – Field Effects / Shaping Fields

The Design Research Unit was the major element of architectural theory in BA (hons) course and so represented a chance for intellectual development. It was used to explore the ‘field’ as a compositional element.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh Chair Competition

This bench was designed in response to the watercolours of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It was shortlisted and so as pictured above was exhibited in the Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh.
