Library – 2nd Year

The first major project of my second year was this design for a specialist library/ reading room sited on the edge of a city park. The library was intergrated into a new park threshold landscape incorporating and extending the terraced gardens of the neo-egyptian ‘vines’ building (reprogrammed as a public photography gallery) . The library itself protected from the street by a folded plate had a more open south elevation looking out towards the tay.
